“Fifty Shades Darker” has been one of the most anticipating movies to come forth this year. Since “Fifty Shades of Grey” came out two years ago; we all just couldn’t wait for the release of this movie. The release was on February 10, 2017, which is a Friday, but I didn’t go and see it until Sunday. And the review of this movies that thousands have been waiting to see isn’t what those who have not seen it is expecting, most likely.
The movie missed many key elements that without having them in the movie, it became unclear and confusing in many parts throughout the movie. The fact that Dr. Flynn wasn’t in the movie and the first dance didn’t take place. Also, with how they met, it didn’t go like it was in the book. The movie just seemed to be all over the place; it moved from one scene to the next with no transition, almost.
To me, I feel like the movie would have been much better if they put it as a two part movie or did a 4 hour movie. Them trying to cram everything that happens in the book within a 2 1/2 hour span, just makes the movie seem unclear and very rushed. It moved way too fast and since it didn’t have those key elements from the book, it just made the movie a bit of a disappointment to me.
Some people are disappointed that you don’t see as much of ‘Christian Grey’ as they’d like to. Also, the part with the ex-sub didn’t seem right to me. There is also the part that Ana never met Dr. Flynn before saying yes to him proposing, which to me should have been added. And the fact that her best friend didn’t find the documents should’ve all been adding. All these parts that weren’t added, just made me not like the movie that much.
However, the soundtrack was amazing. The music they had, definitely made the movie seem better with what song they played at what time. Also, the acting was a lot better from the first movie. They seem to have more chemistry, which is a good thing! I knew the movie wouldn’t have been as great as everyone is expecting it to be, but it’s not stopping me from seeing the last movie.
Well, thank you so much for reading! Hope you enjoyed this post. If you go and see the movie, let me know how you liked it.
